I first started out with a film SLR in the early 80's. My first camera was a Praktica MTL3 which then was upgraded to a Minolta XG1n. In fact the Minolta is still in a bag up in the loft somewhere. After a few years, I lost interest and after that I mainly used compacts for family pictures.
With the advent of Digital SLR's, my interest was rekindled again in 2006 with the purchase of a Nikon D50. Since then I have kept with the Nikon Brand for the Camera Equipment but have upgraded a few times. Current Pictures are taken on a Nikon D300.
I shoot a lot of landscape photography, but I also do portrait and family photography from my home studio in Saltcoats, Ayrshire. I am available for portrait shoots. Please use the contact form or email photo@robertstrachan.co.uk
I have been published in DSLR User a couple of years ago. I also have a contract with Bentley Publishing Group in America who license and print some of my images. Prints of my images are available to buy. Use the contact form for further details.
